The Color Guard a bronze patriotic eagle sculpture by David Anderson
On September 11, 2001, after watching coverage of the attack on America and seeing the Twin Towers collapse and fall, David felt impressed to go into his studio and relieve the stress and emotions of the day through sculpture.
What emerged from that heartfelt effort was a piece that came to be known simply as the "
Color Guard." It depicts our nation's great symbol, the
American Bald Eagle, rising from the dust and ashes of the destruction of that fateful day picking up our other great symbol, the American Flag, with claw outstretched to take on any enemies foreign and/or domestic.
